News & Awards
In June 2019 Gillian entered the Venture Entrepreneur Competition with the University of Chester. After giving a presentation in front of a panel of ten judges she was awarded second place. Prizes included social media and marketing consultancy along with a business grant to start up Tailored Yarn.
The positive feedback from the judges and other competitors was what really gave Gillian the confidence to embark on making her vision to support families with cancer through writing and illustrating bespoke books into a reality.
